Explanation – Its starts verbally. First, you start explaining the importance of going green. Example – What the older ones do, the younger ones imitate. Set yourself as an example. Encourage the
other older kids in your family to be role models to the younger ones as well. For instance, during your general all-around clean up, you can use natural cleaning products. While doing so, an explanation on the significance of green products could help the younger ones understand the whole process better. Apart from this, using natural cleaning products in lieu of commercial products is highly advantageous not just in the aspect of effectiveness but also in the aspect of safety.
Execution – Ask them to participate. It doesn’t matter how young they are. Simple acts such as watering the plants could give them a better understanding of the how the environment is interrelated as a whole system and why going green is a very important element in maintaining healthy surroundings. While they execute simple activities, make sure that you explain how their simple deed creates an impact in the environment. This will encourage them to keep practicing their environment-friendly habits.
