Even the new man who holds the most powerful office in the world just said it – the environment would once again be given importance and for this to be made possible, all citizens should start being mindful enough about every little deed he does which could be a possible threat to the environment. We are giving you some green cleaning tips. We hope you incorporate these tips in all your cleaning practices – regular regular rust removal, stain removal and the rest.
1.Be wise about light.
Always make sure that you turn lights off whenever you leave the room for 15 minutes. As much as possible, utilize natural light. You may also install motion sensors or timers. These will shut your lights off automatically when you don’t need them anymore.
2.Maximize you PC’s efficiency. Do you know that computers used for business waste around $1 billion for electricity every year? Always make sure that you turn your computer off when you leave work. During breaks, putting your computers into sleep mode will also help save energy up to 70 perfect. Another important note to remember: screen savers do not save energy.
3.When printing, make sure you print on both sides of the paper. Avoid color printing as much as possible. Printing in draft will be a big help instead. Switching to lighter paper qualities like those made of organic materials like bamboo, cotton and hemp can also save the environment.
4.Create a paperless business. Before making hard copies, ask yourself over and over again: Do I really need to? Can I just store the file online instead? Posting employee manuals online instead of printing hard copies every time can be helpful as well.
5.Use only natural cleaners – rust removers, stain cleaners and the like – for your cleaning needs. These cleaners have not only been proven effective. They have also been certified safe and harmless to the environment.
